Ecclesfield Group Practice 

The practice has two surgeries.   The main site is called Ecclesfield Group Practice (The Health Centre) based at Mill Road, Ecclesfield. The branch site is called Margetson Surgery and is based at Remington Avenue, Parson Cross.

There are around 8500 patients registered with approximately a 70:30 split between both sites, our main surgery at Ecclesfield having the larger number of patients, where all our administration work is handled.

There are currently 4 GP Partners & 5 Salaried GPs providing a total of 40 clinical sessions per week. 

Practice staff comprise of

• 1 Practice Manager
• 3 Nurse Practitioners,
• 3 Practice Nurses,
• 1 Health Care Assistant,
• 1 phlebotomist,
• 2 Clinical Admin Co-ordinators,
• 2 Medical Secretaries,
• 1 Senior Receptionist, leading a team of 12 Reception staff. 

Our attached staff consist of:- 

• Health Visitors
• District Nurses
• Midwives

We also have appointments available with:- 

• Physiotherapists (provided by Purephysiotherapy)
• Counsellors
• Pharmacists
• Health & Wellbeing coaches
• Physician Associates
• Social Prescribing Link workers

There are a number of elderly persons homes covered by the practice and demographics indicate around 25% of our population are aged 65 or over. Many of these either live alone in their own homes or in one of the many residential homes the practice also provides services for.

The practice welcomes new patients who live within our practice boundary and patients wishing to register can if necessary, confirm at reception whether or not they do live within the designated area.

When the surgery is closed, our out-of-hours service is provided by the Sheffield GP-collaborative. Patients who dial the main practice telephone number will be given the opportunity to transfer their call to this service for urgent advice.
